Mallen Gowing Berzins Architecture is looking for a talented and experienced Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant to join their company.

The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for clients and will undertake daily administrative duties providing vital support to the group. As part of the MGBA team you will be instrumental in providing exceptional service while supporting a positive work environment.

 

The Role of Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant:

The ideal candidate will have a combination of education, experience, and efficiency making a great addition to our dynamic and high paced team.

Reports to: Accounting & Office Controller
Job Type: Full-Time

Main Responsibilities

  • Direct all guests and clients in a friendly professional manner; both in person and over the phone
  • Keep common areas and meeting rooms tidy and ready for use
  • Manage inventory, office supplies, and source various products as needed
  • Shipping/receiving of packages and mail
  • Interact in a timely fashion with all requests given
  • Promote the company; it's people and talents

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years current office experience
  • Education & Training in Office Administration and/or a recognized reception training program
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Typing speed - minimum 55 wpm
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in an Apple & Windows environment
  • Must be proficient in English; both written and verbal
  • Professional, friendly & personable in both attitude and appearance at all times
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently - must be a team player
  • Ability to work under pressure & multi-task (answering phones, greeting clients, couriers, getting coffee/water etc.)
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Responsible and punctual with a professional appearance at all times
  • Self starter that is conscientious and willing to learn and assist in all areas, or as required
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage concurrent projects and work well with others
  • Basic bookkeeping skills are an asset
