Duty Manager

Main Responsibilities:

The DM operationally collaborates with the Personal Concierge, the Duty Pilot, and the Duty Engineer who is on shift.  The primary focus of the DM is to ensure operational quality and operational control of the start-to-end process of a flight; from demand generation handover from the Personal Concierges to flight assembly by the Flight Coordinators to flight line support by the Flight Supporters.  Equally important, the DM maintains timely, positional oversight of the active aircraft via the published flight following procedures and alerting.   The secondary focus of the DM is to 'shift manage the floor' by knowing all roles, ensuring team harmony, coaching, identifying and assisting personnel in need of help. 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school graduation, or equivalent
  • Successful completion of Transport Canada written examinations for Commercial Pilot Aeroplanes (CPAER) and Instrument Rating (INRAT), or the Flight Dispatcher Generic Written Examinations (FDOPS & FDMET) considered an asset
  • Skilled in flight coordination and aviation logistics
  • Experienced with flight planning techniques, tools, and software, inclusive of understanding weather, NOTAMs, aircraft performance, and weight & balance implications.
  • Skilled in how to find, read, interpret, and apply foreign regulations, standards, and procedures for international areas flown by AirSprint
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years relevant experience in airline operations
  • Demonstrated experience in flight planning and flight scheduling software
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate a high skill level in the following competencies: attention to detail, discipline, time management and teamwork
