We are looking for a multidisciplinary and team plater to join our R& D team. Reporting directly to Cuong Le (Research Associate, R&D), the Research Technician will perform the following duties on behalf of the Company:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate collaboration between IPA departments and outside consultants to assist in developing new methods and technologies.
  • Develop and improve methods for cloning and sequencing of antibody variable regions from various sources including cultured B cells and hybridomas. This work will require setting up and installing software in Windows and Linux as well as writing/executing scripts as a part of molecular sequence data analysis (Sanger and NGS).
  • Develop and improve methods formammalian protein expression (primarily antibodies). This work will also include development of protein purification and characterization protocols.
  • Perform the wet lab research required to implement and execute R&D initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the necessary vendors and service providers required to complete R&D projects.
  • Create and continually update a set SOP's and train fellow IPA researchers on any new methods employed.
  • Assist in writing R&D proposals and reports.
  • As required perform duties that are related to current client projects regardless of their association to R&D.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • BSc Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical sciences, Bioinformatics
  • Experience with molecular techniques
  • Programming experience is an asset
  • Multidisciplinary experience and outlook
  • Self-directed, self-managed, self-motivated and be able to work independently and in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company environment
  • Adaptable to changing demands and new challenges
  • Ability to gather and review resources and synthesize data for reports and other written materials
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skill
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
